Pubs for the rugby tomorrow

I thought I would put something on here to see how user friendly it is.
Anyway, I plan to meet a friend in town tomorrow to watch the Lions. Can anyone help me? I need to know which pubs will be showing the match. Preferably town centre. Any ideas?
Thanks in advance.
Pete

  1. The only pub I can think off is the Old House At Home in West Street. The Pilgrim (near Dorking West) or The Cricketers (in South Street) might also be showing the rugby. Good luck.

  2. Thanks Chris. Do you work in the Cricketers or just drink there?

  3. The Cricketers is my local. It is a great pub with a nice mix of people and the ales are always in good nick - London Pride, ESB, Chiswick and a guest ale. Gurd and Rosie run this place very well. There are some other good pubs in Dorking - I like The Kings Arms as it has a good selection of ales although I have heard that this pub has recently been sold by Punch to Shepherd Neame (Spitfire etc.) and The Star which is a rather small and quirky pub which again has a very friendly and welcoming atmosphere. By the way, does anyone know if The Bulls Head will ever re-open again?

  4. Very few pubs in Dorking have SKY Sports as the cost to show the premium sports (ie. premier league football, rugby, cricket etc.) is ridiculously expensive! Apart from the Old House which will be packed to the rafters, you might want to try the Queens Head down at the junction of South Street and the Horsham Road. It is primarily a big football pub but it might be showing the Lions rugby game today.
